## The Fading Light on a City Street

As I walked home from the library, I caught a glimpse of a streetlamp's reflection on a wet pavement. The light danced across the rippling water, creating an ever-changing pattern of colors and shapes. It was as if the street itself was a canvas, with the lamp's glow as the artist's brush. I stood there for a moment, mesmerized by the fluid motion of the light and the water.

The people passing by seemed oblivious to this fleeting beauty, their footsteps a steady beat that contrasted with the dynamic display on the pavement. I felt a pang of disappointment that they weren't stopping to appreciate this moment, but then I realized that perhaps they were too caught up in their own thoughts to notice.

Today I realized: the impermanence of reflections is a reminder that even the most mundane moments can be ephemeral and fleeting, like the light on a wet pavement.
